Description

Rare map of America, showing an excellent treatment of the NW Coast of America and conjectural Northwest Passage, massive Quivira, interesting river system in the Northwest, seemingly without integrating the recent reporst of Lewis & Clark, although with a detailed treatment of the information derived from Cook & Vancouver, including a depiction of the Sandwich (Hawaiian) Islands.

This is the first time we have ever seen this map and Walch's large format maps are typically pre1800 imprints. Decorative border. A fascinating and highly collectable map.
