Scarce map of the US & Canada, showing remarkable topographic detail in the west, but still including some fairly serious errors.
The Tetons and Jackson Lake are pushed well into Idaho and Nevada and is substantially wider than its final configuration. Nevertheless, this map is also remarkable for what it does show, including roads, railroads, mountains, rivers, lakes, Indian Tribes, forts, passes and many other details which are not generally present even in American atlas maps of this period. Several keys explain the coloration and other information.
The detail in the Upper Plains and Rockies is especially impressive.
