Last year we shipped over 4,500 antique maps to more than 50 countries. Maps are shipped Monday through Friday year-round. If an order is received before 2 PM PST, we will ship the order that day. Description

Extremely rare pictorial map of the Smith College Campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts, drawn by Carolyn Galbraith.

This is the second of Galbraith's maps of Smith, the first published in 1928 and significantly different than the present map. This second edition is dedicated to William Allen Neilson, President of Smith College from 1917 to 1939. The additions to the college. during President Neilson's administration are illustrated, with the buildings labeled in scrolls.

Rarity

The map is very rare on the market. This is the first example we have seen for sale (1992-2024).

Condition Description

Lightly varnished and laid on poster board, likely as issued. Signs of foxing.
