Description

Centered on Bachmut

Scarce map of the southeastern part of Ukraine, the Sea of Azov and neighboring parts of Russia, from Von Reilly's Schauplatz der fünf Theile der Welt.

The map shows in fine detail the area which is largely under conflict in the war between Ukraine and Russia.  In the southwest, Cherson (Kherson) is shown, with the map extending northwest to Krementschuk and Poltava, northeast to include Donskaja (Donetsk) and southeast to the area around Rostov-on-Don, with Kjersch (Kerch) shown bottom center in Crimea.

Von Reilly's work was issued in multiple volumes and grew to over 1000 maps in total, and was published in three parts between 1789 and 1806 in Vienna.

The work is well regarded for its accuracy and high level of detail of the maps.
