Description
Unusual map of Prussia, with a large inset birdseye view of Konigsberg, 5 sailing ships and decorative cartouche. In the lower portion of the map the engraving credit is given to Abraham Goos and dated 1656. An unusual late reference to Goos and an exceptional decorative birdseye view. Repaired fold split extends into the printed image, but does not affect visual impact. The last appearance of this map in a dealer catalogue issued by Paulus Swaen in the late 1980s. Full original color.
