Anti-American Soviet Propaganda -- Major US military Bases in Foreign Countries

Cold War era broadside illustrating the reach of the American military and its threat to "Young" (ie. communist and third world) nations.

The top text box states:

By pursuing a policy of neocolonialism, imperialism seeks to emasculate the sovereignty won by YOUNG states, to maintain and even strengthen control over them. The [imperialists nations] are trying to draw them into a militaristic orbit, to use them as springboards for his aggressive global strategy.

The quote in the ocean states;

The United States has more than 1,500 military installations and bases located in 32 countries, mainly near the USSR.

The text at the bottom translates as follows:

Imperialism is heating up the military situation, especially along the borders of the USSR. The force grouping in the Indian and Pacific oceans is being increased. The militarization of Japan is accelerating. The atmosphere of war psychosis is intensifying in South Korea. The Iran-Iraq conflict, Israeli aggression against Lebanon continue, and undeclared wars against Afghanistan, Nicaragua and Angola continue.
