Description

Rare separately published portrait of George Washington, "Presented to the Subscribers of the Anglo American" in 1843.

Full length portrait of George Washington is based upon a painting at the State House in Hartford, Connecticut. The view was published by E.L. Garvin & Co. 6 Ann Street, New York, and printed by Burton, based upon a painting by Gilbert Stuart.

Condition Description

Last lines of text and facsimile signature trimmed at bottom.
