With a Fine Color Lithograph view of Mount Aconcagua
A rare geological atlas of Chile, based on a survey by the Paris Institute of Geography. Three of the plates are nicely colored. The color lithograph plate of Mount Aconcagua, the highest peak in the Andes, is detailed and quite beautiful. The high quality lithography by Eugène Ciceri.

Condition Description
Oblong folio. Contemporary red morroco-backed pebbled cloth. Spine gilt. With gilt Chilean coat of arms on front cover. Marbled endpapers. Some moderate staining on front cover. Extremities of spine leather slightly rubbed. Minor foxing on fly leaves. The plates and maps clean and nice. Overall a quite nice example. [4] pages [title page, list of plates] followed by 23 numbered plates (map of South America, 14 lithograph plates, 7 profiles and 1 table). Complete atlas only, text volume not present.
