Description

Fine and attractive early Los Angeles road map, stretching from West Hollywood through to Pasadena.

The map shows the major thoroughfares, as well as important places of interest. Topography is shown. Also noted are the Inglewood oil fields in the southwest of the map.

The map can be dated to post-1936 given the inclusion of the Griffith Observatory, built in 1935, and Jackson High School, built in 1936 (closed in 1981). Different editions of this map were published at least from the 1910s through the 1940s.
