Description

Interesting hand-colored lithograph of the aftermath of the Tower of London fire in 1841.

The view is taken from the River Thames and shows the ramparts of the fortified tower and the smoldering hulks of buildings on the grounds that had been burned out.

Condition Description
Hand-colored lithograph laid onto a ruled-card mount. Trimmed at the right edge, with loss of part of the image and title. The print might be on a new mount as this one lacks the imprint line seen in the British Museum's example.
