"Timber and Grass In the High Open Spaces  -- Protect It!"

"Howdy & Welcome to Helena In the Heart of the Gold Country" is a map published by the Helena Chamber of Commerce in about 1953.

The map is focused on the area approximately 100 miles in each direction from Helena, highlighting wildlife, recreation, and travel.

The art for the map was done by Phil H. Murphy, and it features an image centered on the city of Helena, with illustrations of the surrounding country, including wildlife and the Helena National Forest. The border of the map includes what appear to be local cattle brands. There is also a note on the map that reads "Timber and Grass in the High Open Spaces Protect It!"

This map is a playful and informative guide to the city of Helena and the surrounding area. It provides detailed information about the city and its surroundings, including important landmarks and points of interest.

Text on verso provides statistical details for the region up to 1952.
