Description

The largest obtainable pictorial map of China.

The map depicts China from Kashgar and Yarken to Korea and Japan, and from Mongolia to Nepal, with text in both English and Chinese.

This fine map of China was compiled by John A. Diakoff the "Scientific Collaborator of the Former Russian Orientalist Society" and richly illustrated by G. Primakoff to show the extraordinary diversity which is the area we know as China. The map is intended to illustrate the diversity of the country, showing its natural and man-made resources, political and administrative boundaries, provinces, cities, capitals, roads, railroads, wildlife, mountains, rivers, lakes, canals, landmarks, agricultural districts, religious and educational buildings, etc.

Includes vignettes of scenery and landmarks around the border. 

Includes larges insets of January and July isotherms across the Asian landmass.
