Rare and attractive early pictorial map of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, campus.

The image shows the historical legacy of UNC as it stood in the early 60s. It includes a range of imagery, from the university's earliest days through to the 60s. Notable quotes appear throughout. All campus buildings are named. Students are depicted throughout.

Dating

The names at the edge of the map list the various halls and buildings of the university. The youngest building that we see named is Teague, from 1958. However, later buildings appear on the map, including Craig and Ehringhaus, both built-in 1962. However, we don't see later buildings, lamely Morrison (1965) or the Graham Student Union (1968).
