Description

Scarce view of the Rock of Gibraltar as seen from the Spanish mainland.

The view is detailed, showing the northern end of the city with a number of boats in the harbor. Buildings on the Spanish side are also apparent. In the foreground are some travelers, including soldiers. 

The map was drawn by Filippo Benucci and printed by Treselly in Munich in 1825.

Condition Description
Hand-colored lithograph. Repaired on verso. Small area of expert and invisible facsimile to the left of the map.
