Interesting map, engraved for Atlas of Long Island, New York, oriented northwest with the East River along the top, showing Hunter's Point in Long Island City before it became part of Queens and its subsequent street renaming and renumbering.

The neighborhood is shown from 57th Ave. (then Pier St.) to 44th Dr. (Nott Ave.) and from the East River piers to just beyond 11th St. (East Ave.). Long Island City was incorporated as a city in 1870 and existed as such until its city government was dissolved when Queens became a borough in 1898.
