Description

Finely constructed map of the area around the Massif of Annapurna, drawn by Lucien Dubresson in 1951, with the assistance of Marcel Ichac, who had been a member of the expedition.

The map shows the details of the route of the 1950 French Annapurna expedition, led by Maurice Herzog.

This was the first time that the Nepalese Government had issued a climbing permit for Annapurna in over 100 years.
