A scarce, large scale and highly decorative map of the Holy Land, dedicated to His Highness the Most Serene Prince and Lord Maximilian of Bavaria.

This large map of the Holy Land has one very distinctive feature, the use of fantastically detailed colored vignettes to illustrate important events in Biblical History.

The map identifies Tribes, towns, roads, rivers and other important features, as derived from the Bible. The combination provides a unique map of the Holy Land, unlike any other we have seen on the market.

Condition Description
Two sheets, unjoined. Small area of loss at top left of lower sheet. Evidence of old folds and some minor repairs at intersections.
