Description

Fine and interesting Sacramento pamphlet published in the 1920s describing the history of central California.

The pamphlet includes a lengthy description of California's history with numerous photos. At the centerfold is a pictorial map of these events, ranging from the establishment of Fort Seutter to the Last Modoc War.

The Sacramento Chamber of Commerce issued several pamphlets, posters, and books built around the theme of "the Romance of California." In 1922, the theme was further specified to "Celebrate the Days of '49." The youngest date that we locate mentioned in this pamphlet is 1926.
