Last year we shipped over 4,500 antique maps to more than 50 countries. Maps are shipped Monday through Friday year-round. If an order is received before 2 PM PST, we will ship the order that day. If an order is received after that time, we will ship the next day. We ship maps either flat in custom packages or in specially ordered thick tubes. Description

Rare original antique pair of maps on one sheet showing the Shetland Islands in Scotland and Cape Breton, in Cap Breton.

The maps are detailed, but the main features of interest are the beautiful depictions at the bottom of the map. The depiction under the Shetland Islands shows several ships and men fishing. The depiction under the Cap Breton inset shows another fishing scene, with early settlement shown.

These maps were published in the Hamburg Correspondence in 1751 by Johannes Haas.
