Description

Fascinating Swedish map of North America, published by Daniel Djurberg in 1810.

The map shows North America dominated by the British in Canada, the United States, and Spain, still in control of Florida, Texas and Upper California, with the map showing the future Oregon Territory also a spart of New Spain.

The Colorado River finds its source in a larger lake in Utah, with a massive "Oregan" river flowing from the modern area of Idaho and Western Wyoming to the sea.

The treatment of the Rocky Mountains as a single cordillera is based loosely upon Humboldt.
