One of Budapest's Grandest Traffic Circuses Is Renamed After Hitler.
Plan of Kodály Körönd and Andrássy Avenue showing the Körönd renamed "Hitler-Ter."
The plat depicts the old houses and apartments located in the triangular-shaped block between Andrássy, the Körönd, Benczúr, and Bajza Utca.
The Körönd is famous for its four statues on each corner of the circus, each depicting a different 16th- or 17th-century Hungarian national hero. During the Second World War, the circus was renamed by Hungary's fascist leaders for the German dictator.
