Striking pictorial map of Bermuda, drawn by noted pictorial map artist Elizabeth Shurtleff.

An exceptional work of both decorative and historical merit, telling the story of the history and local culture of Bermuda.

Elizabeth Shurtleff (1890-1968) was born in Concord, NH and graduated from the Boston Museum School of Art.  Shurtleff and Helen McMillin established Graphic History Association, “publishers of historical maps”, at 86 Mt. Vernon Street in Boston. Between 1926 and 1930 they published a series of pictorial maps, with McMillin undertaking the research and Shurtleff responsible for design and artwork.

Shurtleff's maps are now highly prized by collectors.
