Rare and interesting Italian map showing the houses of Hollywood stars living throughout Beverly Hills.
The map lists the locations of the thirty-one biggest stars living in the area, including Chaplin, Jack Warner, Marion Davies, Buster Keaton, and Clive Brook. A separate asterisk denotes the Pickfair mansion, home to Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks. The mansion was considered a focal point for 1920s and '30s Hollywood. The map also includes an inset of the Greate Los Angeles region in the upper left.
"Star maps" of Beverly Hills and Hollywood were a common phenomenon in the United States during the 1920s, 30s, and 40s. It is interesting to see that they were also a phenomenon in other countries, and is a testament to the early worldwide draw of Hollywood.
