Description

Fascinating image of a Native American Village on Quadra Island, off the coast of Vancouver Island, near the east central coastline of Vancouver Island.

The Indigenous communities of the area, such as the Coast Salish and Kwakwaka'wakw (formerly known as the Kwakiutl), lived in organized villages, often constructed of large cedar plank houses adorned with totem poles and other carvings.
