Promotional Map for the L'Esposizione Internazionale del Sempione (Milan World's Fair)
Decorative city map of Milan, published by Compagnia Leibig (Liebig's Extract of Meat Company), as a promotional item for L'Esposizione Internazionale del Sempione (Milan World's Fair) of 1906.
The map provides a fine street level depiction of Milan, with a guide to important places at the right and advertising for Compagnia Liebig at the left. Public transportation routes are shown in red.
On the verso, smaller maps of the Buildings in the Piazza D'Armi and the Park are shown (with a view of the Liebig's Societé de Fray Bentos Giebert & Cie., in Villa Independencia, Uruguay, later called Fray Bentos), along with local information for tourists and out of town business travellers, including information regarding Postal Tariffs, Telegraph charges and public transportation.
