Description

Interesting French boardgame map of the world during the Interwar years, published by the Parisian gameboard firm of Saussine.

The board features caricatures of the races of the world, along with many illustrations of native animals, means of transportation (ocean liners and airplanes) are also shown.

The Saussine firm was founded by Leon Saussine and continued by his heirs after his death in 1896.

Rarity

This pictorial world map is apparently scarce, this being the first time we have encountered it.

Condition Description
Mounted on board (as issued?) with a vertical fold and horizontal fold, presumably also as issued. There is a separation in one of the vertical folds to allow for the board to be cleanly folded up. Game pieces are not present.
