Description

Wonderful pro-prohibition postcard map, illustrating the "Dry" and "Wet" parts of Ohio as of 1910.

For the most part, the areas still serving alcohol can be associated with Ohio's main urban areas such as Cleveland (Cuyahoga) and Cincinnati (Hamilton), etc.

The postcard is captioned below the map "Wishing you all the joys of the Holiday Season, we are, Yours for a Saloonless State, [W.B. Wheeler]"

The postcard is inscribed, "We hope to see you at the Convention January 30th." and addressed to Mr. H.K. Miller of Delaware Ohio.

The card was evidently produced to promote the January 30, 1911 convention of a pro-prohibition party in Ohio.
