Description

"One of the finest built derricks in the State of Texas"

Rare East Texas Oil Promotional: Our Goal a Gusher!

Photographically-illustrated promotional brochure soliciting investment in East Texas oil operations. The leases covered some 958 acres. One side is devoted to pictures and descriptions of the drill and derrick. Other illustrations show oil derricks ("one of the finest built derricks in the State of Texas") as well as various men: Ralph Dudley, Mr. Hodges, "Jimmie" Kimbrough and other oil men, as well as local farmers from the East Texas village of Chandler, in Henderson County, just west of Tyler. The image showing men standing in front of a business block with a sign for the firm of Parker & Dingler, a business located in Chandler, Texas, confirms the Texas location of this oil promotion.

According to the brochure, all the men depicted herein could attest to the fact that the Ben Grewe well drilled in 1921 actually produced a flow of oil at around 1700 feet. "This is probably the last opportunity to join Mr. Hodges in what promises to be one of the greatest profit-paying enterprises in oil history."

"Don't let the opportunity pass, and remember, there's no time like - TODAY."

Only wise investors need inquire.
