Fine original antique Italian 19th-century map showing a representation of the Martino Sanuto world map of 1300.

The map shows the Old World, with east oriented to the top. The Mediterranean, Black Sea, and Persian Gulf form a T-O-type world map. The map is centered on Jerusalem, which bears a large cross. Many additional features are shown, including rivers, mountains, and more.

This map was published in 1838, in Florence, by Francesco Marmocchi as part of an interesting set of representations of the ancient world.
