Description
Fine original antique map of the Piedmont region of Italy, extending slightly into Provence, in France, as well as parts of Switzerland.
The map shows the region bounded by Lake Leman and Geneva to the North, through to the Mediterranean coastline in the south. A plethora of cities are named, including Grenoble, Turin, Genova, Como, Antibes, Nice, Monaco, and Vintigmiglia. In addition, many towns, rivers, mountains, and other geographical features are shown.
This map was published by Gerard and Leonard Valk in Amsterdam near the end of the 17th century.
