Desirable pocket map version of this scarce H.R. Page map of Michigan.

The map was adapted from H.R. Page's large folio atlas map of Michigan. It includes insets of Isle Royale and the western Upper Peninsula in the upper-right corner.

This page Michigan is copyright dated 1880. Prior to the year 2000, we handled an 1881 edition of the map. It also appeared in 1886, and perhaps in other years. Nonetheless, this, like essentially all of Page's maps, even those from his atlases, is quite scarce on the market today.

Page made only five atlases according to Phillips.

Karpinski notes an H.R. Page "Map of Michigan and Wisconsin. Compiled from the latest Authentic Sources [...] 1879", but not the present map, which with its 1880 copyright would have fallen within his remit.
