Description

Rare Second World War propaganda poster, aimed at Allied sailors to warn them against excessive smoking (of the ships or sailors themselves?).

The poster seems to suggest that sailors keep their engines in clean and working order to reduce smoke output.

The poster features a cartoon Uboat, looking something like a shark, smiling on its way to attack an Allied convoy.

The poster is monogrammed "IE 41" in the lower right corner. We have been unable to identify the artist, as the poster is extremely rare.
