Pictorial Map of Wellesley College

Fine example of this striking map of Wellesley College, drawn by two of its 1924 Graduates, Alva Scott Mitchell and Elizabeth Paige May.

The campus buildings are illlustrated on the northeastern Shore of Lake Waban, with the town further east.  Includes a series of vignetts on th sides celebrating campus life and various points of interest.

Alva Scott Mitchell (Garfield) later produced a pictorial map of Harvard and Radcliffe in 1959.

Rarity

The map is rare on the market, especially with such strong vivid original colors.
