Description
One of the First Maps of South Carolina published in Europe
Scarce German variant of Drayton's map of South Carolina, which appeared in Drayton's History of South Carolina.
The map is exceptionally detailed for its size, showing roads, towns, and other geographical detail, as well as some Indian information.
This is the second earliest map of South Carolina published in Europe of which we are aware, coming after the extremely rare map by Daniel Sotzmann.
