Scarce early plan of New Orleans, prepared to illustrate the location of the proposed New Orelans Mint.

The map appears in a report concering the operations of the mint, which appeared in a message to the President. The proposed Branch Mint would become operational in New Orleans by 1838.

Includes the locdation of Jackson Square, the customs house and Citizens Bank.
