Description
Scarce etched plan of Jerusalem by Wenceslaus Hollar after the Villalpando map.
Hollar prepared the etching for Thomas Roycroft's Biblia sacra polyglotta ... edidit Brianus Waltonus, which was published in London in 1657.
This is larger than the similar, more common view by Francois Halma that was done later.
Condition Description
Small worm tracks in the toward the bottom of the image (mirrored across the centerfold).
