Description
Wonderful vintage pictorial map of British East Africa (including present-day Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda) showing the wealth of natural beauty to be seen in the region.
The map was prepared in Glasgow, Scotland for the East Africa Tourist Travel Association, by artist D.O. Mathews, Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
National Parks, reserves, and game reserves are all delineated on the map. Numerous illustrations of local wildlife enliven the map.
Later and smaller editions of the map exist, for instance, the map was also published in 1954 and measured 11x14 inches.
