Description

Scarce map of the "Spanish Dominions," published several months after Mexico declared its Independence from Spain in September 1821.

Several early settlements are shown in Texas, including the Presidio at Nacodoch[es].

In "New California", the Spanish Missions are shown, with additional placenames, as well as an unnamed Lake Timpanagos is shown.

Very nice detail in the Upper Rio Grande Valley, inclding Taos and Santa Fe.
