Description

Striking Biblical map of the Middle East, with the Black and Caspian Seas at top and the Red Sea and Persian Gulf at the bottom.

The map shows the Babylonian Exile of the Jews of the ancient Kingdom of Judah to Babylon by Nebuchadnezzar during the 6th Century BC.  Includes a decorative vignette based upon Psalm 137, a hymn expressing the yearnings of the Jewish people in exile following the Babylonian conquest of Jerusalem.

The map is part of a set of twelve maps of the Holy Land and adjacent regions during different biblical periods.
