Rare map of the Holy Land drawn by Y. van Hamelsveld, engraved by Jan van Jagen and published by Johannes Allart.

The map is intended to illustrate the earliest inhabitants of Palaestine, including the lands of the Philistines, Amalekitens, Edomites, Moabites, Ammonites, Midianites, and Ismaelites.

This is one of a set of at least 5 maps studying the history of the inhabitants of Israel.

Rarity

The map is very rare on the market and was apparently unknown to Laor.  

We locate this example, which was acquired by Leonard and Juliet Rothman in 2006 at OWA.
