Description
Detailed and attractive map of the United States, with a large inset of the Territorial District of Alaska formerly Russian America, ceded to the United States in 1867.
The map shows towns, mountains, railroads, forts, rivers, ports, and a host of other details, including a very early appearance of Yellowstone, called only National Park.
The details in the west are quite exceptional, as good as any commercial atlas map of this period.
