Rare, original antique lithograph map of the thermal springs region of central North Island, New Zealand, published by the General Survey Office in Wellington.

The map shows the region in fine detail, with roads, rivers, mountains, lakes, and towns shown. The map centers on Lake Taupo. The volcanic region of Tongariro appears in the southwest.

The verso includes seven lithographed scenes of the region, as well as an inset map of the whole North Island. Text describes the thermal springs and a one-panel advertisement for Thomas Cook appears.

Pencil manuscript reads "Baldwin Dunedin Jan 14/91" on verso.

OCLC records four institutional copies in New Zealand, two in Britain, and none in North America.
