Description

First edition of Chuck Flachman's lively pictorial map of St. Louis, published in 1950.

The map stretches from the upper edge to Affton, Maplewood, Clayton and University City, and is filled with lively local imagery of local landmarks, recreational facilities, sporting venues, schools, and a host of other public and private venues.

The compass rose notes "A Melange of Landmarks Old and New of An Historic City."  In a later edition, this note is replaced by promotional language for Anheuser Busch, reading "Visitors are always welcome at the Home of Budweiser!"
