Dedicated To King George IV on the Occasion of His Visit To Dublin
Fine early map of Dublin, prepared to commemorate the visit of King George the Fourth in 1821.
The map was published by Gerrard Tyrrell, 11 Lower Sackeville-Street, and embellished with 24 views of the principal buildings of Dublin. The map was advertised as being sold a large sheet, segmented in a slipcase or as a wall map.
Rarity
The map is quite scarce on the market. RBH notes 2 examples at auction in the past 20 years.
