Central Los Angeles in the 1870s

Rare early Los Angeles real estate documents, drawn up on forms printed by A.L. Bancroft & Company.

The indenture cover "the westerly half of Lot 7 in Block 17 of the Hancock Survey of Donations Lots" In Los Angeles.  The land shown would be northwest of USC on West Adams Street, likely very close the the  Mt. Saint Mary's Campus.
