The map is filled with promotions for major Los Angeles businesses.

The map is the work of artist Padraic Shigetani, whose work included a number of Star Trek themed comic strips for the Los Angeles Times between 1982 and 1983.

The map is apparently very rare. This is the only example we could locate.
