Rare Squaw Valley Winter Olympics poster, illustrating the main ski venue for the 8th Winter Olympics in Lake Tahoe, California.
Held in a remarkably compact area, the poster illustrates the ski jumping, downhill skiing, ice rink, speed skating venue, Olympic Village and a number of other ancillary facilities, with the top of the resort (Squaw Peak / Men's Downhill) at the top left.
Fine richly colored pictorial view. The title block provides a detailed overview of the Olympic Winter Games history and information on the selection of Squaw Valley as the site for the eighth games. Flags of the competing nations, etc.
Condition Description
One small hole in lower right corner, outside printed image. Small tear in the upper left corner repaired on the verso with tape. Bottom and left margins are slightly uneven in parts, far from image and barely noticeable.
