Description
Fine map of the the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern regions, with an interesting manuscript addition.
The map was issued separately and was included Rene Aubert de Vertotin's Heistoire de Malte, illustrating the history of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, also known as the Knights Hospitaller and later as the Knights of Malta.
At the bottom is a manuscript note completing the Arabian Peninsula and referencing the declien and decay of the Sarrazina Empire (Saracen Empire).
