Description

Attractive original antique engraving of diagrams of celestial mechanics and of an armillary sphere showing the same.

The engraving shows diagrams of the Copernican System, Ptolemaic System, Tychonic System, and a Composite System invented by Martianus Capella.

The map appeared in the New Geographical Dictionary, published in London in 1759.
