Description
An intriguing and detailed late-19th-century map of the northern part of India, developed by W. Hughes, fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, and published for The Philips New General Atlas.
The map shows roads, railways, towns, cities, mountains, rivers, and much more. It extends to just north of Mumbai in the south, and shows India including Pakistan. Detail extends slightly into Afghanistan and Tibet. Elevations are given in the Himalayas.
